How can I decide whether to visit an emergency department, urgent care center, or walk-in clinic?

Sprains, strains, burns, lacerations, rashes, bronchitis, and pneumonia are just a few of the non-life-threatening conditions and injuries that can be treated by iMed. Additionally, we offer point-of-care lab testing that enables us to do a number of tests right at our facilities. However, if you have a severe medical condition or symptom (such as excruciating pain) brought on by an illness or injury, you should visit an emergency department at a hospital. To report a true emergency, dial 911 right away. True emergency indicators include, but are not restricted to: Two-minute or longer chest discomfort or heart attack symptoms. A sudden development of numbness in either extremity is one of the symptoms of a stroke. Severe breathlessness. Heavy bleeding or nonexistent bleeding. Poisoning. Life-threatening bone fractures. Major injuries, such as head injuries that result in loss of consciousness. Unexplained drowsiness or disorientation. Loss of consciousness, hearing or vision. Coughing up or vomiting blood. High fever (104° or higher for a child; any fever for an infant less than 6 months old). Suicidal or homicidal feelings. Seizures.
