Patients are typically seen within 10 minutes of registration and can expect to be treated and on their way home within approximately 30 minutes, depending on the volume of visitors and the nature of their condition.

However, for severe symptoms such as intense pain, chest discomfort lasting over two minutes, stroke symptoms (e.g., sudden numbness), severe shortness of breath, heavy bleeding, poisoning, major fractures, head injuries with loss of consciousness, unexplained drowsiness, loss of vision/hearing, coughing/vomiting blood, high fever (104°F+ for children or any fever in infants under 6 months), or suicidal/homicidal thoughts, visit a hospital emergency department or dial 911 immediately.
True emergencies include, but are not limited to: chest pain or heart attack symptoms lasting over two minutes, stroke symptoms (e.g., sudden numbness in limbs), severe breathlessness, uncontrollable bleeding, poisoning, life-threatening fractures, head injuries causing unconsciousness, unexplained confusion, loss of consciousness or senses, coughing/vomiting blood, high fever (104°F+ in children or any in infants under 6 months), and suicidal or homicidal thoughts.
